# Suggested pathway through this guidebook

Here is a suggested pathway for organisational founders, stewards, and guides that want to start exploring what it is to be an ecological organisation and would appreciate some guidance.

1. Read through the [Introducing Ecological Organisations page.](/ecological-organisations/ecological-organisations-a-design-lens/introducing-ecological-organisations.md).
2. Spend some time with the most recent version of [Ecological Organisations: A Design Lens](/ecological-organisations/ecological-organisations-a-design-lens/different-formats-of-the-design-lens.md). Download it, print it off, zoom in and out, spend time with it individually and/or with others.
3. Familiarise yourself with the [Creative Commons license](/ecological-organisations/working-with-the-lens/creative-commons-license.md) so that you understand the agreements that this work has been released under, and why.
4. Visit [Mapping this work's lineage](/ecological-organisations/ecological-organisations-a-design-lens/mapping-this-works-lineage.md).
5. Read through the [3-part series exploring the underlying story of ecological organisations](/ecological-organisations/ecological-organisations-a-design-lens/different-formats-of-the-design-lens.md), so that you understand the four premises at the core of this work in greater depth:
6. Head to [FAQs](https://ecologicalorganisations.notion.site/FAQs-159ef690591181aaa347e67863184c0d?pvs=24) and read the answer to the question ‘*Where do I start*?’ in the first section.
7. Start running small, iterative experiments and see what changes in the organisation. Enjoy!
